Back Pain Relief

Have you had back pain or neck pain for more than three months? Have you felt like you have had low back pain forever? Then you are a perfect candidate for our "Back to Life" program.

Symptoms of Chronic Back Pain

Lower back pain may consist of weakness, stiffness, pins and needles in the legs, and numbness in the buttocks into the legs brought on by trauma from an accident, arthritis, a herniated disc, or being overweight. You also may experience neck and shoulder pain. Other causes include pulled muscles from sports injuries and poor posture when lifting and sleeping.

In back pain treatment, the first step is education. The more you know about your neck or back pain the easier your rehabilitation will be. You will be evaluated by one of our licensed physical therapists, who will test your range of motion and strength. Then goals will be set.

How our program will help you achieve lower back pain relief

We will take a holistic health care approach to your treatment. You will be instructed in body mechanics, sleep positions, and given stretching exercise for back pain, designed specifically to your body type at a pace that is set to your conditioning level. As each short-term goal is met, new ones will be set: we will add strengthening conditioning, which may include working with an exercise ball, endurance exercises, Cybex fitness equipment, and dumbbell exercises.

As your strength and endurance builds up, you will notice that your back pain will begin to recede, and your quality of life will improve.

If you or someone you know could benefit from the lower back pain treatment offered in our Back to Life program, please contact the clinic nearest you to speak to one of our licensed physical therapists. A prescription from your PCP is all you need to initiate your health insurance benefits.
